In the heart of the Park

Interpretative event in the central area of Montesinho Natural Park (near Baceiro river), with several stops and small walking tracks. We will visit monumental chestnut trees, badger burrows and enjoy a honey tasting in an apicultural shop (with a live beehive) belonging to a reference local producer.

Next, we will learn about an ancient Roman technology that was used for producing lime (lime kilns), we will visit the most famous Lorga of Trás-dos-Montes (a cave that was occupied during the Neolithic) and we will expand our knowledge in ethnobotany. Near the end, we will go for a walk along the banks of the Tuela river (one of the purest rivers in Europe) with a visit to the old thermal baths.
